1. A.R. Rahman Indian of the year
Oscar winning music maestro A.R. Rahman has won the CNN-IBN Indian of the Year award 2009 in the entertainment category. “Rahman has redefined contemporary Indian music and is the pride of the entire nation. He is also an idol to millions for making a mark on the global music arena,” says Rajdeep Sardesai, editor-in-chief, IBN Network 18.
2. U2 star sues personal assistant Adam Clayton is suing his former personal assistant claiming she stole £1.6 million from his accounts. The U2 bassist has secured a temporary court order to freeze Carol Hawkins' assets.
3. Pussycat Dolls getting new members
The girl band have been surrounded by rumours they are splitting, but choreographer Robin Antin - who founded the group in its first incarnation as a dance troupe in 1995 – insists they are continuing but with fresh faces joining lead singer Nicole Scherzinger.
