| 1. Michael Jackson dies at 50.
Michael Jackson, the sensationally gifted child star who rose to become
the “King of Pop” and the biggest celebrity in the world only to fall
from his throne in a freakish series of scandals, died on 25th June. Jackson’s death brought a tragic end to a long, bizarre, sometimes
farcical decline from his peak in the 1980s, when he was popular
music’s premier all-around performer, a uniter of black and white music
who shattered the race barrier on MTV, dominated the charts and dazzled
even more on stage. Shivam pays his tribute to one of the best performer the world has ever seen in his blog.
2. Amy Winehouse was rushed to hospital after partying with friends.
The troubled singer - who is currently staying in St Lucia while
she writes her third album - was reportedly taken to a medical facility
by ambulance and received emergency medical treatment after a wild
night of drinking on Friday. Amy was discharged later that evening, but friends of the star
believe her deteriorating health may jeopardise her scheduled UK show
at London's Shepherd's Bush Empire next Sunday. 3. Kelly Clarkson refuses to take advice on her music.
The 'I Do Not Hook Up' singer is proud of latest effort 'All I
Ever Wanted', particularly because she made all of the decisions about
the sound of the record. She told MTV News: "I'm pretty proud of it. We worked really
hard on it"
