Did you know???
Critics of rock and roll songs (and of Led Zeppelin
in particular) have occasionally alleged that
a backward message is recorded into "Stairway
to Heaven." If a portion of the song is played
backwards, then supposedly words beginning with
"Oh here's to my sweet Satan" can be
heard. Various Christian fundamentalists have
interpreted
different lyrics from the allegedly-backmasked
portion, which most agree to be the lines beginning
with "If there's a bustle in your hedgerow...".
The theory was advanced by Michael Myers, Jacob
Aranza, and Jeff Godwin among others. Led Zeppelin
have always ignored such claims, the only comment
coming from Swan Song Records which issued the
statement: "Our turntables only play in one
direction - forwards".

And I can't believe that there is no "Knocking on heavens door" in this list...
It should definately be under 20...
Was that just a silly mistake or what??

Yeah "Blackbird" needs to be here for sure...
"Babe I'm gonna leave" is also good... but then may be not that big a hit to be in all time 100

hindi rock songs are scarce... bandeh is a really nice song..n for heaven s euphoria s a really really sad band.. bunch of losers posing as rockers..

By :
neha_persian@yahoo.co.in 12/1/2006
I think I would add "Roobaroo" to my list......
There is a prominent guitar use in the song, and may well be categorised to rock...
But then again we may have doubts....
It is just so very tough to strongly say which genre a particular song belongs to...

Go to any rock show these days....
The biggest cheer from the crowd is for "Blind" when the intro begins
Im not saying that Korn is good or bad... But "Blind" by Korn somewhat started the new rock era in world rock scene...
It deserves to be in top 100 atleast
